Okay, so maybe pi day wasn't that spectacular for most people. It was a Friday afternoon, and all you could do was sit and stare at the clock, waiting for the weekend to officially begin. I only have on thing to tell those of you in that boat.

THAT REALLY SUCKS!

I, personally, enjoyed my Pi day. March 14. 3.14. The day all in math class enjoy. Today was particularly great at my school. I take many math classes, and March 14 marked the end of the quarter. Since it was a Friday, what do you think I did in every single math class?

We partied! In all my math classes, we threw fiestas of unknown proportions. At least for a math class. The usual drudgery of number crunching was tossed aside for mandatory Disney movie watching and, of course, scrumptious morsels of pie.

It was pie galore. Pumpkin, apple, cherry, and even pudding pies were placed before us salivating students. We tore in, devouring every last slice. The last period of the day was a killer, though. The teacher made us wait until 1:59 pm to begin the feast. (3.14159...get it?) In the end, it was worth the wait.

Much to my surprise, my mom was celebrating the day as well. Not only had I gorged at school, Mother had a banana cream delight sitting on the table. Already full, I couldn't help myself. Between me and my siblings, no pie remains in this house.

Now I sit, writing this article, regretting my greed. I feel sick. Perhaps I overlooked the fact that most people can't stomach 8 pieces of pie in a single day without suffering ill side affects. I don't think I want any dinner. I'm still digesting school. In fact, I don't feel so hot. Excuse me as I go worship the great white throne...

Actually, I loved Pi Day. Started off with a Pi Day tshirt. Watched the giant pi drop and the Pi video at Pi Day site http://mathematicianspictures.com/PI/PI-DAY.htm. Bought two more math tshirts there and a math poster with famous mathematicians. Then joined the World Federation of Pi at Pi Day site http://www.PiDayInternational.org . Then went to Pi Diner, pushed a button on the Pi-O-Matic, and had a lunch of a few million digits of Pi. Bought some more math tshirts (World Federation of Pi), and called it a day. Now I've got math tshirts for the whole year, and plenty of Pi. Pi Day is sort of like Christmas. Next year I'm hoping someone will BUY me the math tshirts. Anyone listening? Here's the math tshirts I want: check them out here and send them to me: http://mathematicianspictures.com/Shirts.htm#mathematicians .
