Indian Cricket League - The New Sensation

The Indian Cricket League (ICL) runs cricket in a different format which is twenty20. It runs along with BCCI. Because of the involvement of private enterpreuners, huge amount of money is flowing into ICL. This has excited many international cricket stars and they have started enrolling in ICL. History of formation

The bidding for the 2003 telecast rights was done by ZEE films in which they lost the bidding thought made the highest bid. Again in the year 2004 Subhash Chandra bid for the same but lost in the bidding and had to meet the court for certain reasons. Again for the year 2006-2010 he bid and lost once again. This made to create their own cricket content which grew up to be the all new Indian Cricket League (ICL). The prize money for the winner was announced to be $1 million. The Indian Cricket League was set up with rupees one billion which aimed at making sixteen teams in the next three years though had six teams formed initially. The league had signed documents with world's leading cricketers including Brian Lara and Inzaman-Ul-Haq. But the other names are kept secret. The ICL had become the richest cricket organisation of India.

Main reasons why the Indian Cricket League was formed

The present structure of the league:

As of the current situation in the cricket of India. the whole control is under BCCI which governs the whole cricket of India. Accordingly there are no chance for the regional players to prove themselves or represent the country for the matches. The local cricket boards have very poor facilities to run the matches. The economy of ther players depend only on the allowances alloted by the BCCI board.This made the formation of Indian Cricket League which will provide better service for the players of all background.
