The awards received by country music star Carrie Underwood seem to go on forever. She has won 2 Grammy's, 3 ACM Awards, 2 CMT Music Awards, 5 Billboard Music Awards, and even won the title of "World's Sexiest Vegetarian" through PETA's annual online poll, just to name a few. So when Carrie Underwood announced she would be coming to Bridgeport, CT on February 25th with her headlining Carnival Ride tour, I, along with hundreds of other fans, did not wasted any time in buying tickets to see her show.

It was about 4:30 on February 25th when I finally got home from school. My friend, Michaela told me her and her mom were going to pick me up at 5:30 to go to my first Carrie Underwood concert. I was so excited. I listened to Carrie Underwood the entire ride home, posted on her MySpace before I left (as if she actually reads it), and imagined what it would be like to finally see her in person.

I got ready, ate dinner, and waited. I finally got the call from my friend saying she was sitting in my driveway so I ran outside and got into the car. My friend and her mother love country music so the entire ride there we listened to 92.5, of course. While we were on the highway, all of a sudden, Carrie's new single "All American Girl" started playing. I was so excited I almost screamed right there in the car. When the song was over the radio DJ said, "That was Carrie Underwood with her new hit single 'All American Girl'. She will be performing at the Arena at Harbor Yard tonight." Even though I had heard Carrie on the radio hundreds of time before, I was never so thrilled.
