Amy Black is a smart young lady that shares with her readers a glimpse into a period of her life when she thought all was lost. That giving up was the only answer. Yet with the loving support of her mother she finds the grace of God. She shares with you not just those parts of her life that were turbulent but also the biblical scriptures that will help you, the reader, be able to re-evaluate and refocus your life for a closer walk with God. In-spite of who you are or where you've been there is hope, mercy and love and there is God.
When I first show the title of the book I didn't understand what she meant. "Mercy Said No" didn't sound like a devotional book, at least not one like I thought it would be. Then I started reading and quickly understood what the title means. Mercy can be translated to meaning God in this case. When we want to give up and throw in the towel and pray we find that God answers us in our prayer. In this case God told Amy - NO! God told Amy there was no giving up because he was in control and he was about to reveal that control to Amy in a very special way - through her mom.
Mercy Said No is powerful yet packed within nine pages. Each section she has a study time has scripture relating back to what she had just spoken about. Come along and read with me how Amy went from a troubled young lady trying to cope with love and life to holding a Bachelors of Science Degree in Psychology. Let Amy Sue Jackson Black show how when you're ready to give up on life that it is then when God will say no because he is in control - You will over come.
