Flashlight Review: Surefire L1 Lumamax Flashlight
The Surefire L1 flashlight is useful for camping, backpacking, or general use around your home. It generates a green beam of light and features a one-watt LED light source, so you don't have to worry about a filament breaking or burning out. This LED light source can last for thousands
of hours. You can find the Surefire L1 for a price of $135. Let's take a look at some of the other features offered by this flashlight.
The Surefire L1 flashlight is equipped with a two-stage switch. This allows the flashlight to produce either a high-output or low-output beam. The low-output beam produces 1.1 lumens, while the high-output beam produces 22 lumens. Also, the Surefire L1 has a switch lockout so that you don't accidentally cut the unit on while carrying it around.
The Surefire L1 is also equipped with a tail cap switch. This allows you to cut the flashlight on for just a few second or to keep it on constantly. You simply have to press this switch slightly to produce a momentary low-output beam. You have to press it a little further to produce a momentary high-output beam. When you want to produce a constant beam, you have to switch the tail cap switch.
This flashlight comes with a prefocused beam. Therefore, you don't have to twist the bezel on the Surefire L1 in order to adjust the beam. Also, the one inch bezel is designed to accept a variety of the company's accessory filters.
You will also like the design of the Surefire L1. The unit is very lightweight, so you'll have no problem carrying it around for long periods of time. Also, the Surefire L1 is compact enough to fit inside of your pocket. The unit also has a pocket clip which is useful when you want convenient access to the flashlight. The flashlight also has a machine aluminum housing for added durability and has sealed o-rings to protect against the weather.
