The fall brings some great new television shows to millions of Americans and every now and then it is quite refreshing to see a show that is original and funny and has some name brand actors in it. The television show that I have seen which has hit number one on the television charts and deservedly so is called “Studio 60” which stars Mathew Perry from “Friends.”
The television show airs every Monday night on NBC which finally for the first time in years, has a new hit show. The show is directed by one of my favorite producers, Aaron Sorkin who as you may have known, was the producer of the NBC show West Wing which was on the air for 8 years before the show finally came to a conclusion before the summer. Picking up right where he left off, Sorkin has produced a new drama that is great for every American to watch. The two main characters who appear most frequently are Mathew Perry and Bradley Whitford who also starred in the West Wing and worked with Aaron Sorkin. Other famous people you might recognize on the show are Amanda Peet, Steven Weber, D.L. Hughley, Sarah Paulson, Nathan Corddry and Timothy Busfield.
The show Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip takes place in Hollywood and is about a television company that is trying to make it big. On the show’s first episode the laugher and sudden jokes were already evident and the camaraderie between Mathew Perry and Bradley Whitford was already clear to the viewer. The two actors have great chemistry in the show and it looks like it will continue for the entire show which promises to be a huge success.
In the first show, there was a new director for the television studio being hired, Amanda Peet, and she immediately clashes with her new bosses for her take action style and quick nature of getting things done and seeing results on the studio. Her mission is to work together with Whitford and Perry who are both script writers on the show and get the television studio to the top of the ratings. Entertaining and exciting, this fresh new drama is a one of a kind show that has no equal and is a delight to watch on a Monday night.
