We keep hearing that it's the economy that is uppermost on the minds of American voters this year. Part of that is due, of course, to the fact that were it not for the fact that most people buy everything they own with credit cards the word recession would have been outdated long ago: we're in a depression, people. Most Americans would not have a computer, large screen TV, or iPod if they couldn't pay double what it costs by buying it on credit cards. A significant number of Americans could not afford gas or groceries if they didn't have credit cards. Take away the opportunity to put off paying today what you bought yesterday and the simple fact is that most people today would have about as many nice things as their grandparents had during the 1930s. It is the economy, yes, but it's not the economy that should be the driving force behind your vote in November.

It's the war, stupid!

I remember all my history teachers proclaiming how war was always good for our economy. Unfortunately, they neglected to mention that was really only true for WWII. Apparently, Dubya had the same teachers I did.

Just think, every single american could be a millionaire if they gave one day's worth of war spending to the citizens...hmm and what kind of stimilus package were they looking for? Woot. $300 is going to do a lot of good...

Terrorism is comparable to a bee stinging a Rhino's butt when we consider everything else this country faces.

Iraq is the leaky bathtub of the American economy, and it will drain it dry if McBushCain gets in.

Yep, gotta agree. Most of Americas money is going to Iraq and will continue to do so. The bastard in the White House should have been impeached years ago. It's also why I'm planning on staying in Thailand permanently. Asia is booming and is going to continue to do so, you wouldn't believe the opportunities here. I turn down a new job every week and, cost of living wise, I'm doing better than I ever did in the US. Sad really.
