If you think that attending trade shows will increase sales for your business, you might be thinking about buying promotional products to use as a marketing incentive. Judging by success my mother-in-law has had with these items, this is probably a step forward for you, but what types of promotional products are good for trade shows? Following are the top seven.

1- Pens & Pencils

These are arguably the simplest promotional products for trade shows, but they get the job done. Have the name and/or your logo printed on a shipment of pens or pencils, then give them away for free at the event. They are relatively inexpensive compared to other promotional products, and just about everyone has a use for a pen or pencil at some point during the day. Each time they pick it up, they'll think of your business.

2- Anti-Bacterial Wipes

Although these promotional products are a little more disposable than others you might find at trade shows, they are extremely handy for people keep in their purses or pockets. Even better, germs are rampant at trade shows or anywhere that hordes of people congregate, so you'll be showing your concern for prospective customers' well-being. You can have your logo printed on the packaging for sample-size wipes, then give them away.

3- T-Shirts

If you're willing to spend a few extra dollars on promotional materials at trade shows, t-shirts are particularly popular. Everyone needs a t-shirt for working around the house or wearing on the weekends, and you can cut your costs by using as few colors and writing as possible. You can also reduce your investment by giving t-shirts only to your first 100 (or 200, or whatever) visitors.

4- Drawstring Backpacks

These little promotional products are big hits at major trade shows because they give potential customers a place to store all the other items they've collected. These small backpacks cost only $1.50 at PromotionalProducts.net, and you can buy them in a wide range of colors.

5- Chip Clips

Hey I make that kind of stuff and tons more; lapel pins that move and blink, all kinds of personalized paper clips, money clips, lanyards refrigerator magnets... You'd be amazed at what works depending on what you are promoting. This is a really good list. These are things that stay in front of people all the time. Also big now are photoframes of all kinds including digital ones. The pen/pencil selection available now is oerwhelming as well. Hundreds of kinds with amazing imprint options. Great article!
