Siegfried & Roy's Secret Garden: The Mirage Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas

There is so much to do and so much to see in Las Vegas that often times the subtler things are overlooked in lieu of the glitz and glitter. While no one could call Siegfried & Roy modest, the fact is that their Secret Garden & Dolphin Habitat at The Mirage Hotel is not just modest, but also scaled back such that if you were not on the lookout for it, there is the chance that you would bypass it altogether.

Once you are inside of it though, you understand the modest dressings to the exterior. In face, one of the coolest things about Siegfried & Roy's Secret Garden & Dolphin Habitat was the fact that everything was directly in your face. There was no great distance between you and the animals on display. To some, this may be a little bit disconcerting. However if you are a fan of extreme sports, tight sleeping quarters in tiny apartments, or the up close and personal which has become the interaction of one person's world (sometimes a world away) with another person's world via the webcam, then you will be able to appreciate this variety of zoo.

In addition, the zoo lover in general will really be able to appreciate this variety of show as the Siegfried & Roy Secret Garden is indeed a unique habitat for people to witness all variety of their favorite animal. There are lions, tigers, dolphins, and more at the Siegfried & Roy Secret Garden.

When you first walk into what looks like it will be a cumbersome and trying experience of squinting and fighting crowds for the best view, I was generally surprised to see that the first exhibit was front and center as soon as we walked into the space.

As soon as you enter the Secret Garden you are presented with an African Lion. The day that I saw him, he smacked his chops like he just got out of the wild and was hungry for a fight. This made me implicitly nervous but none of these animals were in any way aggressive. Further along the path of the Secret Garden there was a huge Siberian Tiger; further along there was also a beautiful White Tiger.
