Why You Should Watch The Perfect Disaster on Discovery Channel

The Perfect Disaster is a TV series aimed at preparing the general population for various types of disasters. Through a series of fictional story lines, characters live through a disaster. Intermixed is commentary from government officials and experts explaining what happens both behind the lines of city government as well as with citizens on the street before, during and after a natural disaster.

These scenarios are on the extreme end for most of us, but seeing what governments around the world do to prepare for each disaster is riveting. Each of these disasters are based deep in fact and are a worst case scenario that each city braces for.

As I watched each episode, I was taken with how much thought and detail was put into the production. You learn what weather conditions need to come together to create the storm. Each of these disasters have occurred in these areas on a smaller scale, causing each city to prepare and brace for the next one to come along, knowing the next may be worse.
