The Wind Chimes Inn, San Juan, Puerto Rico
A Great Place to Stay in San Juan, Puerto Rico
The buildings share courtyards that house tables and chairs for sitting or eating. The Boat Bar is also located in one of these courtyards. At The Boat Bar you get meals from breakfast to dinner. You can also get snacks, desserts, and of coarse, drinks. It is a no cash bar, so everything gets charged to your room, and you take care of it when you check out. There are several tables near the bar for those people that do not wish to sit at the bar. There is also a deck above the bar that offers additional seating. Here you will find a large display of wind chimes.
The Inn also has a beautiful pool. It is a little small, but it does the job. Near the pool is a flight of stairs. Take the stairs up and you will find a sun deck equipped with several lounge chairs.
The Inn has two entrances. One is at the front of the main building, near the reception desk. The second is on the side of the building near the boat bar. After checking in you will, of coarse, get a key for your room. This key also allows you to get in and out of the Inn. Both of the doors leading in and out stay locked. In case you forget your key there are call boxes next to each door. The office will be able to buzz you in.
Parking is available at the Inn. Anyone who has visited San Juan knows that parking spaces are hard to come by in the city. The Inn charges an extra ten dollars a day for parking. This is pretty much the norm for the area. If you choose to park you will receive a gate opener. The parking area has an arm that keeps non-guests from parking. The parking area is pretty small. When it is full you may get a call to move your car in order to allow someone to get out easier. However, this does not happen that often, and it is worth it to be able to park off of the street. There are areas along the street near the Inn that you can park. However, the streets in San Juan are very narrow. If you take a look at the cars belonging to locals, most likely you will see scratches on the sides of the cars. To be safe, it is best to park off of the street.
