If you are going to host a garden party and want to make your own invitations, try making this simple but elegant flower invitation. Flower themed invitations for your garden party is a great idea because flowers will be used in abundance to decorate and set the mood for your party.
What You Will Need
Blank Square Invitations- Look for stock invitations that are blank on the inside, but with a solid or simple design on the front. Solid colors such as yellow, green or pink work best. If you opt for a simple design, make sure the card has a single design and not rows or columns of alternating patterns, yellow and white stripes or lavender polka dots on white are great examples.
Silk or other Artificial Flowers- The flower you decide to use with your invitation really depends on personal taste and what flowers you will be using to decorate with. Two things to remember though, the flower and card has to be able to fit in an envelope and flat flowers work best. That said, some types I recommend looking for include small posies that can be used in a bunch or flat daisies. Whatever flower you decide on it needs to be able to be flattened so that you are looking at just the flower head.

How to Make Your Garden Party Invitations
For formal garden party invitations you can fill the cards in with the party information two ways. If you are comfortable with your script or are able to write calligraphy go ahead and fill in your party invitation yourself. Nice script handwriting will give your invitation both a formal and personal touch.
