How to Successfully Date Online

There are tons and tons of online dates sites. And there are tons and tons of people joining the sites, which means there are tons and tons of people looking for love. Your chances of finding that special someone should be easy then, right? Well, yes, but when it comes to online dating, there are things you can do to increase your chances of finding the right person and there are things you can do wrong. Online dating is great in many ways because it allows you to search for someone who meets your criteria and you don't have to feel pressured to reject someone in person.

The first step to creating a successful online dating profile is to upload a picture. It's a fact that profiles with pictures get many more views than those without. It doesn't really make sense not to put a picture. Attraction is important (not the most important, but still important) to building a good relationship. Many people who put pictures on their pages upload pictures where they are wearing sunglasses, their head is tilted, eyes closed, or many other things. If you decide to put a picture, make sure it is clear, that your face is forward, you are smiling and you aren't making any funny faces! If you are able to add more than one picture, then it's okay to add some silly ones to showcase your personality. The main profile pic, however, should look like the ones you took on picture day in elementary school...minus the mullets, braces and side ponytails.
