How to Use the Secrets of the Law of Attraction

Before I learned about the secrets of the law of attraction, I once heard the following: "God always answers prayers but sometimes the answer is no." That's not exactly true. How can God, the source of all things, whose very nature is to give us exactly what we ask for, ever say no? The truth is that he doesn't. In fact, the only people who say "no" when it comes to getting what we ask for is us.

"How can this be?" You ask. "I've begged to God a million times to help me and he hasn't given me what I asked for! Obviously he knows that what I want isn't right for me." To this I reply, don't bring God to your level.

Let's begin by examining how you ask for what you want. Let's say that you've asked God for money, do you cry out in anguish and plead, "Dear God, I have no money! The bills are piling up and I have no way to pay them! Please help me!"

First, look at what your statement focuses on. No money. Unpaid bills. No way to pay them. Do you see what the focus is on here? Next let's look at what you're feeling. Are you feeling like you already have the money you need and more or are you feeling as though you lack what you need?

The secret of the law of attraction is this: Like begets like.

Let's put that another way. You are like a magnet, and what you think about and talk about and feel in your life attracts more of what you're thinking and talking and feeling into your life. If you're thinking and talking about lack most of the time you're attracting lack. If you're thinking and talking about abundance, then abundance is what will come into your life.

How do you move from a lack mentality to an abundance mentality? One of the best ways I've found is to immerse yourself into what you're asking for. For example, suppose you want to be wealthy. Do you simply sit on your couch and meditate on being rich? Well, actually yes you do, as that's a very good way to start visualizing your life. But what then? In order to become wealthy, you have to be wealthy first! Get into your best clothes and go to the upper class section of town. Get seated in the finest restaurants, even if all you can afford is a cup of coffee and a slice of pie. Go window shopping. Be the person you want to become!
