Risks of Pesticides

The risks of Pesticides are at tolerant level, since they have around for years. Pesticides can be harmful to the human health. For the soil and plant health, pesticides can cause damage.

The benefits of pesticides would include the control threats to the human health, the protection to the ecosystems from invasive species, and it enhances the quality of our environment. Pesticides make it possible to produce healthy foods and if we stopped using it, food prices would be on the rise and many jobs would be lost. There would be nothing there to help the farmers fight off the weeds of the fungi that causes diseases and for the pests that ruin the crop. Pesticides kill pests that carry diseases. Insects can carry diseases, such as: yellow fever, encephalitis, plague, typhoid fever, malaria, and Rocky Mountain spotted fever. It also controls pests around the home for a cleaner environment in your house.

Some of the alternatives to use other than pesticides would be to use mulch in the yard, like compost, bark, and grass clippings. You can also use traps like sticky wraps and pheromone bags. To keep the bugs out, you can use netting. There are also natural ways to kill bugs with color diversions and different types of foods. Another alternative to do over pesticides would to use the right grass see for your lawn, mow in the right direction, develop healthy soil, and to maintain the weeds.

For the plan of this most unfortunate country, I believe the use of pesticides far outweigh in benefit than the alternative. Pesticides are used to control the fungi to prevent disease, to ward off any pests that cause disease, and to keep away the weeds, since they take away nutrients in the soil. I propose that we use the same guidelines as we do in America. There are guidelines that must be followed to keep the level of toxicity down. Tests can be run on the crops to make sure they have a safe amount of toxins. The alternative would cost too much in manpower. To get rid of these pests, pesticides are a necessity. At that number, we could not realistically get rid of them by hand.
