Punky Brewster Gives Birth Again: Child Stars of the 80's
Hollywood is still rolling on the baby trail as another star has given birth. Soleil Moon Frye, better know to all as Punky Brewster and husband, Jason Goldberg have given birth to their second daughter. Jagger Joseph Blue Goldberg, arrived on Monday, March 17. Baby weighed in at 8lbs,
6oz. The couple also has a 2 year old daughter, Poet Sienna Rose. A representative for Frye said, "Soleil had a wonderful experience, and both she and the baby are doing great," according to www.Babble.com.
It is always interesting to hear the news of some of our favorite child stars whether they are getting hitched, having children or just jumping back into the Hollywood hot seat. A few of my favorite 80's child stars have to be Keri Russell, Danica McKellar and none other to Gary Coleman.
Keri Russell, now 32, made headlines during the summer of 2007 with the birth of her son River Russell Deary. Russel is best know for her role as Felicity Porter, in the WB hit "Felicity" and during the early 1990's was a part of the Disney Original show "The Mickey Mouse Club." Russell also received stellar reviews for her role in the films "Waitress" as well as her role as Lyla Novacek in the film August Rush.
Another child star that I would love to see back on television would have to be Danica McKellar who played the lovable Winnie Cooper on the 80's hit series "The Wonder Years". Danica, now 33 has a best selling Book, called "Math Doesn't Suck" and in late 2007 had a recurring role on the CBS hit series "How I met your Mother." According to Wikipedia.com, McKellar had a bit of a bumpy road transitioning from child to adult actor, where she appeared with "Wonder Years" co-star, Fred Savage, in the show "Working" and was also in a few episodes of "The West Wing."
