Flexible, I am a sapling in my thousandth year
I am spring, I am passion
I am tempered by the winters past
Older, wiser but not hoary, nor weathered
I shall remain elder green

The springtide never ebbs
The cycle of life goes on
Slower, stronger, with more consideration
Still wild, the roots of life grow deeper yet
Complex and rich, the branches intertwine
Reaching higher into the heavens
Than ever could a failing old tree
Seeking the sun, we reach the stars

Flexible, I am a sapling in my thousandth year
I am spring, I am passion
I am tempered by the winters past
Older, wiser but not hoary, nor weathered
I shall remain elder green

Elder Green

Complex and rich, the branches intertwine, reaching higher into the heavens.
