Pokemon Diamond and Pearl has a lot of exciting features for beginners and experienced gamers. The goal is to become a Pokemon League Champion. You can bring Pokemon from your Game Boy Advance games to Pokemon Diamond and Pearl using the GBA game slot on your Nintendo DS and via Pal Park.

The game takes place in a new region called "Sinnoh". In the Sinnoh region, there are two Pokemon. One is called Dialga and has the power to control time. The other is called Palkia and has the ability to distort space. Team Galaxy is trying to rule the region by utilizing these two Pokemon's power.1 When you start a new game, you can decide to be a Male or Female trainer.

Real-time clock feature changes the time of day based on the DS clock. The Pokemon you can catch vary based on the region and the time of day.

You can collect over 490 different Pokemon to battle.

In Diamond and Pearl there are 3 new types of poke balls, Dusk ball for dark places, Heal ball which heals the Pokemon, and Quick ball which is good for use in battle.
