Quality of life is not dependent on age . We can be unhealthy and out of balance at any age.

There are choices we can make and decisions to be made that affect the way we age. It is important to get the assistance that we need, be as strong as we can, be active in life, and enjoy the adventure. Being a Senior, is another cycle. It has mystery, learning. growing, opportunity and challenge built in. More and more aging is being associated with mental dysfunction. Hearing of, or knowing someone with Alzeimher's has become a common story. No longer growing into the wise elder naturally, but short circuiting pre-maturally. We are being challenged to address this dilemna. What might be done?

One thing we can be in charge of is our attitude. Are we sharing the wisdom of our experiences? As the elders of society, we have had many experiences. Seen many conclusion, resolutions, paths that led to something significant, one's that didn't. Don't believe that as a group, and individually, that we don't have value. We most definetely do. The Elders have traditionally been the keepers of wisdom. The ones that people go to for guidance and information. Make yourself available to add what you have to offer, to others. It is a gift that we can give. It is important that we recognize the need for Elders in our society. If we don't, it is a great loss.

There are other things that we can do to help ourselves be the best that we can be: To do what we can to stay active and alert. Are we choosing the path to being a wise Elder? Are we contributing to our well-being? What can we do to help ourselves to stay more mentally alert? Here are some suggestions that deal with these issues:

WATER

We need to keep the fluids moving through our body, for flexibility, mobility, and general health. Our brain and mind ceases to function well if it cannot get what it needs. Water carries nutrients to the brain. .. Think desert .. It is also a conductor of energy. It keeps the sparks flying from cell to cell. Bringing life.

Purified is best, take out those toxic metals. Especially Aluminum. Studies directly link it to Alzheimer's Disease.
