When you first start watching a new reality show, get a visual of all of the people on the program. Do anyone of them stand out to you because they have a unique hairstyle, accent, look, or anything similar? If so, and you are choosing to keep a log, write it down. Also, if their behavior warrants any noting (they cry a lot, lose their temper, act different), note that too. This will help you remember the cast better; especially in the early episodes before many eliminations occur.
Next, if you miss an episode or need a recap of who got eliminated, consult Wikipedia. They have a table on each reality show that lists callout order, who was eliminated, and who left on their own accord. Wikipedia, by far, is the best site I have found to present an overall wrap-up of elimination statistics.
Finally, make your predictions. Pick a first place winner and have a second choice too; just in case your original pick is sent home. Also, don't forget to catch any reunion specials to get any "extra" details about what really happened when the cast reunites.
