How would he feel if he knew
Every time he kisses me I think of you
If he could see what's inside my heart
It would kill him, tear him apart
I'll never love him with you in my heart

On a lazy Saturday, he & I layin' around
If you listen hard enough, thoughts of you can be found
Going to the movies at his house or mine
Inside it's you I wish was spending my time
Sometimes I get nervous, afraid he might see
The love for you bottled inside of me

How would he feel if he knew
Every time he kisses me I think of you
If he could see what's inside my heart
It would kill him, tear him apart
I'll never love him with you in my heart

Sometimes when he talks, I can hear your voice
If my heart had a vote, you'd be it's choice
Said you weren't ready, couldn't give what I need
Had to let you go, let you be free
Will I ever experience what the two of us shared
Though you tried to conceal it, I know you cared
He's a good person, but he's not you
If only I could tell my heart what to do

How would he feel if he knew
Every time he kisses me I think of you
If he could see what's inside my heart
It would kill him, tear him apart
I'll never love him with you in my heart

I couldn't wait forever
I had to move on
Will the feelings for you
Ever be gone
With him
Just tryin' to make a new start
I'll never love him
With you in my heart

How would he feel if he knew
Every time he kisses me I think of you
If he could see what's inside my heart
It would kill him, tear him apart
I'll never love him with you in my heart

I totally agree with Mike. The depth of this piece is powerful because it comes from the bare and naked part of your soul, I love the honesty of your heart in it's entrapment of it being haunted by love, like a tormenting ghost. I think we have all been imprisoned by love lost in it's chambers, running aimlessly without the key to get out. God Bless your heart, may you find freedom and rest in the spirit of peace!!!

Amazing feeling here. I'm glad I stayed up a little late and came across this tonight. Sometimes I get lucky like that. This is poetry at it's passionate best when what is concealed somehow reveals itself with words that cannot deny the poets heart. Youv'e captured a feeling here that haunts the spirit of love and a broken heart. I like the way your poems translate into songs- as this one is easily imagined that way. I really like your style. Great work.
