Well, look no further, fun and fresh air is just a hop, skip, and a jump away at Thanksgiving Point in Lehi, UT.
Located just south of the Point of the Mountain on the west side of the freeway, Thanksgiving Point is a wonderful attraction that mixes the outdoors with other wonderful attractions. With beautiful gardens, a rustic restaurant and gift shop, a large movie theater, and one of the country’s largest dinosaur bone exhibits, Thanksgiving Point has a little something for everyone to enjoy whether on your own, or with your family.
To get to Thanksgiving Point, just take I-15 to the Alpine Hwy exit 284 and go south on the frontage road. This will take you straight to the entrance. You can’t miss its water tower and glowing sign; they’re visible for miles.
So, what can you do there? Thanksgiving Point has many attractions and also many special events that you can enjoy during any season. It is broken up into several sections.
The first, and probably most famous, part of Thanksgiving Point is the Museum of Ancient Life. Located close to the main gift shop and the movie theater, the museum is easy to find. Open Monday-Saturday from 10am to 8pm, the Museum of Ancient Life contains many different exhibitions and interactive activities based around one of the largest dinosaur collections in the country. There is also the Mammoth Screen Theater that shows exclusive, educational movies on a giant, 3-D screen. Both attractions are well worth visiting and fun for the entire family. The cost for the museum starts at $7.50 for children and $9.50 for adults. Additional costs apply to the movie screenings.
