Sims 2, which was released in 2004.. has definitely brought some major attention to itself especially with it's upcoming release of "Sims 2: PETS" being released on October 17 of this year.

It is a definite big difference to the first Sims for the PC which was released back in 2000. The first one wasn't totally 3d, but wasn't totally 3d either. It was simple, you were able to play it freely and how ever you wanted as long as your sims were happy.

Now with Sims 2, you have more details with the characters.. and its totally 3d now.  I tried the PC game and it's not too bad. But the Sims 2 for the XBox... can you say ugh? I was like trying to figure out why I was so restricted to what I was doing in the game. Usually I am able to figure out the game plan and stuff right off the bat.. btu this time.. it took me some time so figure out what everything did... what limits I had.. ec etc. I tell you I was not happy.

The PC game I understood a little better. Within the first 5 minutes of playing I actually got one of the Sims in the household to fufill their wants.. which was kind of cool but I felt that it was just missing something. I still can't quite put my finger on what it is... but it just feels like something is missing from the game and the characters.

All and all, the game is cool.. I am a little behind with all the expansions that have come out over the course of time, btu I'm sure when I have the time I'll get aroudn to it and see if I like them any better. I wonder if they're going to do a while another Sims... I mean they did Sims the Original.. did a few expansions.. then decided hey let's make a Sims 2. Then they made a whole nother load of expansions for Sims 2 and seems to be still going. But for how long? Will they come up with new ideas for Sims 2 expansions? Come out with a Sims 3? Or quit while they are ahead?

Not bad. Not bad at all. Little spellcheck couldn't hurt, though. haha.
