Be Still My Fluttering Heart

Romantic adventurer that I am I took a tour that fairly set my heart all a flutter. Okay so in reality, I'm a recovering, let's hope, agoraphobic who avoids crowds and thinks a trip to the store can be more drama than she can handle. That's enough stretching the comfort zone for me. But on the inside...

There's this swashbuckling, starry-eyed girl who dreams adventurous dreams. A stronger woman inside who is part Xena Warrior Princess tough and exudes sexy, self confidence that the men can't resist; part woodland sprite or fairy princess who dreams of far away lands or places only in childhood fantasies. That's on the inside.

So where did this outwardly shy and fearful but inwardly bold and courageous woman find herself this past weekend? She found herself dancing with butterflies. Okay so that was on the inside too. In the annoying confines of the so called, "real world," she was walking inside the greenhouse butterfly exhibit at the Fort Worth Botanic Gardens. Out among all those strangers that could possibly become a little less like strangers shuffling around in a greenhouse and more like a group of friendly tourists who all shared an experience that set their hearts a flutter as well.
