Important Facts About the Accuplacer Assessment Test
The Accuplacer Helps Put Students in the Right College Classes
Before you enroll in college, many schools require the students to take the Accuplacer test to find where the students stand in math and English. This test then determines which classes the students will be taking.
The Accuplacer is an untimed, multiple choice test done on the computer. Their performance decides which questions they get. If a student answers correctly, the degree of difficulty in the questions increases. If the student misses an answer, the difficulty decreases. This way, the Accuplacer is different from student to student, and no two tests are alike.
Immediately after finishing the Accuplacer, the test scores will be made available to the student. In most cases, the college advisor will have to look at these test scores to match the student with the necessary classes.
A good test score on the Accuplacer is important in a number of ways. For one, the student will be put in a College class at his/her level. Secondly, the student can save money by skipping the most basic classes. Thirdly, the student can reach his/her goals faster.
The Accuplacer is not a pass/fail test. No matter how poorly the test goes, the student still passes.
