Imagine laying out by the pool, sun gleaming down and glistening across the sunscreen saturated bodies all around you. You're sipping on a pina colada, so at peace and relaxed without a care in the world. Too good to be true? No! Getting away for a week to a place where you can sit around and do absolutely nothing is possible! Club Med, the all-inclusive resort, offers an incredible getaway for anyone who is overworked, stressed out or just wants a break from the chaos of everyday life. The Club Med Ixtapa location is great for families and couples with young children, as they offer a "Mini Club", which allows parents to drop their children off for fun activities while they work on their bronzing tans. With a beach and a pool, Club Med Ixtapa provides many opportunities for water activities. You can choose from sailing, kayaking, swimming, or even sign up to take a trip off site and swim with the dolphins, which I highly recommend!

Some other off site activities are horseback riding on the beach, a trip across the water to a little island where you have a "lobster lunch" and hang out in a hut with hammocks, or a night dinner cruise. Most of these activities are not included in the cost of the trip but are well worth the extra money. Club Med offers many different things for those who don't like to just sit around (though you can certainly do that if you so choose). The Club Med employees, called "GO"s, (which stands for Gracious Organizers) partake in many activities throughout the day and take the time to meet with all of the guests, or "GM"s (Gracious Members) and make them feel welcome. They eat all of their meals with the guests and never hesitate to say hello in passing. You quickly make friends with the GOs, making you feel like you don't want to go home! At night, the GOs head up pastimes like teaching the GMs dance moves, running poker tournaments and putting on extravagant shows that include a trapeze and fun choreography.
