Pompous and self-righteous crusader for truth and justice Keith Olbermann, who's 49, has a live-in girlfriend half his age (24), Katy Tur. The New York Post's Page Six section article called "Helping Hand" is alleging that Countdown host Keith Olbermann used his influence to get his belly warmer an anchor job at CW11 despite the lack of journalism experience of Katy Tur. The article says that Katy Tur didn't go to journalism school and is only a "freelance cable producer", so if Keith Olbermann did some arm twisting here, then it's Tur's "bedroom experience" that won out over career experience!

My Experience With Nepotism

One of the first jobs I ever had was as video store clerk in a mom and pop operation. Well, I was hired full-time as a video store clerk, and had to work with two families who were related to each other. A brother and sister ran the video store, but their spouses and kids helped out a lot.

Now, I remember feeling very hurt for a little while when the son of one of the bosses was given the manager job of the video store even though he didn't have any experience working in the store. He did though help fix things around the video store and adjoining laundry which was owned by his parents. I wasn't even asked if I wanted the job of being manager of the video store. The young man suddenly became the manager, and I had to help him get oriented with a few things since he didn't have as much experience as I did in working there.

She's cute, funny, and connected, just what television news wants these days. Why blame Katy Tur for being in demand. Sure she's got Keith Olbermann on her side, but I can't imagine he can make another company hire his girlfriend. If that was the case why isn't she at MSNBC? Her mother and father worked together in LA as TV reporters and no one there made a fuss. Give her a break already. I like her and wouldn't mind a snuggle, or two. Don't let it get to you girlfriend, it's all jealousy!

If she has the stomach to tolerate Olbermann than I would guess she is pretty tough I wonder if he throws crumpled up paper across the table at her too funny

Aw come now, she's so good at what she does. It takes skill to be that irrelevant: http://www.236.com/news/2008/03/21/keith_olbermanns_penis_is_not_5328.php
