Affairs

I find you on a cold, most windy day
for just a moment and the world
falls crashing 'round my mind
as this dream of you starts beginning ...

On driven snow-laced winds we dove
into a doorway, snug and low:
with candles' glitter on a frosted glass -
promised warmth and liquored glow ...

Moonlight brings illusions; sometimes
masked by false delusion -
when all the worlds that fall apart

are just the blendings of our heart ...

Does there enter competition?
The heart's beat races fast -
What was that mystic, icy gleam
that sparked from out you glance?

Nowhere can we meet again
for our worlds are torn asunder.
Fire and Ice - we destroy each other
with deadly bolts of jealous thunder ...

Does it push too far sometimes,
this need we share for love -
and does it hurt sometimes that we
know we need that need left undone?
