Another Round with Amy Browne

When was the First Round? Must've Been a Knockout!

DP: Please tell us a little about yourself; who you are, where you're from, etc.,:

Hi there, I am Amy Browne single mom by choice of three children, my two oldest have joined me on AC, while my youngest also writes but he is a bit too young to join us.

I am a grandma to two of the sweetest children and we live in a comfortable, yet sometimes-loud house in Athens, Pennsylvania.

Date of Interview: 03/20/2008

My pen name here is Amy Browne, and the photo on my profile is of my boyfriend Ray and me, which was taken in 12/06.

DP: What type of personality type would you say you are?

I am quiet, introverted, and not a person to draw attention to myself in any sort of crowd but I have been told that sometimes a very distinct strong personality comes when I write.

The freedom to express myself, emerges itself through my writing, which is good in a way especially when I feel strongly about something be it good or evil.

DP: Please share with us a story about your favorite pet.

My much-loved pet would be a grey cockatiel named Jimmy, after Jimmy Buffet the singer of course.

When I was attending college from 1998-2002 Jimmy was my friend, he would come out of his cage and sit with me as I did my homework.

It seemed that he loved algebra and trig because he would always fly to the table as I had those books open and try to consume my books.

This was too funny because it was about the time the real Jimmy Buffet came out with the song Math sucks, Jimmy the bird has passed onto birdie heaven, and I just do not have the heart to replace him.

(I'd like to suggest that someone write a song about Jimmy the Bird.~eh Jimmy?-DP)

DP: What do you like to read?

I love to curl up with a Stephen King novel and pass the day away, when I can find the time, which lately seems very elusive.

I have been a long time fan, having picked up my first King book when I was about twelve, but my favorite that I have read more then once would be the stand!

My favorite non-King book is Swan song, which is similar to the stand in many ways.

DP: What was/is your favorite subject in school?

My favorite subject in school, I disliked high school but when I returned to college almost fifteen years later, I very much enjoyed my computer classes.
