Monaco Bay Piano Bar & Grill in Kalamazoo, Michigan

Located in Kalamazoo, Michigan at 300 East Michigan Street is a very unique and entertaining bar and grill. The name of the place is the Monaco Bay Piano Bar and Grill. We had a fun time going here for dinner and then partying afterwards!

We heard from one of our friends that this place was really fun and entertaining, so we figured we were in the area so we would check it out. When we found it there was a pretty long line waiting to get in. We thought that was a good sign because then we knew they were popular, so they must be good. The line wasn't too bad; we only waited about 10 minutes.

When we got inside, the atmosphere was really warm and inviting. The brick walls and yellow walls had different colorful art pictures on them. There were also trees and plants situated throughout the room. Different colors of light like red and blue reflected off of the walls.

The place was really large inside. We first went to the bar to order a drink before dinner. The bar area was really cool! They had a large mirror with their name of it and martini glasses that were hanging upside down in front of it. Then above that they had small arched columns that had levels of display bottles on them. The background was a sky blue color and the small columns were white. It looked really neat.

On one side of the room there was a stage with two pianos on it. At night they have a dueling pianos show. They play all kinds of different songs. You can request whatever you would like them to play. They also put on a comedy act in between songs! They get a little raunchy at times, but it is all funny. They also insult people, but don't take it to heart; it is part of the show. You will get embarrass a little though if you are the person they are picking on!

They have tables situated everywhere in the room to eat at. They serve some really amazing food! You can enjoy your dinner as the piano players put on a how to entertain you. The nice part is too that you can hear the music, but it isn't too loud so you can still talk without yelling to one another.
