Doctor Who Season 4 Begins

April 5th Sees the Return of the Time Lord

The BBC has announced that the newest season of Doctor Who, the fourth new season in the current run, will begin airing episodes on Saturday, April 5th, at 7pm on BBC-One. The first episode, entitled Partners in Crime, will see The Doctor, played by David Tennant, reunite with his
companion from the 2006 Christmas special, The Runaway Bride, and star of her own sketch comedy show Catherine Tate as Donna Noble.

Sarah Lancashire will appear as Miss Foster, who, along with her villainous Adipose, will threaten Earth. Donna goes in search of The Doctor before the alien threat can continue to plague earth. Donna will next travel with The Doctor to Pompeii and will meet Agatha Christie, the famous mystery writer, before meeting a new character, The Doctor's daughter, played by former Fifth Doctor Peter Davison's real life daughter, Georgia Moffet.

The season will end up with Donna Noble, Martha Jones, Captain Jack Harkness, Sarah Jane Smith, and fan favorite Rose Tyler all joining up in the TARDIS to save The Doctor.
Catch new episodes on BBC One, BBC America, and in America, The Sci-Fi Channel.

Wow - the new Doctor Who series has been bringing back blasts from the past, but I love the Davison cross-reference. Maybe they can do another "The Three Doctors" or "The Four Doctors" time traveling intersection episodes? Paul McGann, David Tennant, and Chris Eccelsson are all still young enough to appear.
