I live by rule that if something low-fat tastes just as good as the full-fat version you should definitely use that product. But, when's the last time you had light mayonnaise that actually tasted good? The thoughts of low-fat mayonnaise used to make me cringe. I had tried so many different brands that just tasted horrible. Recently though, I had the chance to try Kraft Light Mayo. Would this low-fat mayonnaise be what I had been searching for? Read on to see what this foodie thinks of Kraft Light Mayo.

Kraft Light Mayo Review: Taste

When I first tried Kraft Light Mayo it was in on an Oscar Mayer Deli Creations Sandwich. It was mixed with Dijon mustard and I really enjoyed it. The next time was on a Market Fresh sandwich from Arby's. Both times, I was very pleased with the flavor. In fact, Kraft Light Mayo tastes great when it's mixed with other flavors. But, one its own, this product can be a bit overwhelming. To me, it actually tastes a bit sour. If you're going to add additional flavors though, this product is perfect.

Kraft Light Mayo Review: Comparison

Regular mayonnaise has a creamy and smooth taste. Kraft Light Mayo on the other hand has a sharp, sour flavor. If you're eating Kraft Light Mayo with mustard, you would never be able to tell a difference. But, on its own, this product is quite different from full-fat mayonnaise. Still, this brand does taste better than others.
