Playmobil sets offer kids of all ages the chance to use their imagination, experience creative play time and have a tremendous amount of fun. Playmobil and Lego are both great construction toys to invest in; they have a high replay value, are well made and can last years if properly cared for.

Name: Skeleton Shipwreck
Set Number: 5779
Price: $7.00
Age Range: 6 and older

The Skeleton Shipwreck set contains 32 pieces, including three figures, that depicts a slightly spooky shipwreck scene. It comes with a partial boat that's been cracked in half as well as a small dingy. The captain pirate figure, first mate and skeleton are standard Playmobil size and all of the accessory pieces in the set can be used with other Playmobil elements and figures.

Some of the accessory pieces include a fishing bucket, fishing line and fish that has a magnetic mouth so you can retrieve it and pull it into the boat. Getting the first mates hands on to the oars of the boat is a little tricky but not impossible. The skeleton figure is done up in bone white and can be put into several positions so you can have a good bit of fun with him.

The seagull is a rare animal to come across in Playmobil sets and this one is incredibly cute for a gull. Outside of the fish, the gull is the only animal in this set. Some of the pirate themed things you get with this set include the Jolly Roger black flag, treasure chest (with a few very nice gems), treasure map and ring of keys.

Replay value is the key when picking out construction sets and this one has a lot of things to offer kids or adults that collect Playmobil sets. If you have other pirate themed sets you can add everything from this set to it and make something that it truly unique. None of the pieces in this set are extremely fragile but the two small trees can bend easily if they are not stored properly.
