Gas Hassles in Wyoming

Here in, Evanston, Wyoming, gas prices are, at the highest, $3.99 (and we've seen higher since last summer) and, at the lowest, $3.05. On average, they're $3.12.

My family is on a budget of $637 a month. And most of that goes to bills. When bills are paid we could have anywhere from no money at all for gas to maybe $50 dollars. And with the closest gas station to us, pricing our gas at the highest, that is 15 gallons for the month.  That is if we have $50 to spare on gas. Usually we don't.

So it does not let us do as much of the driving that would be useful especially when there is still snow on the ground, not to mention that our car does not fair well in the winter conditions. Being as it is for us, we have vouchers to use for transportation.

The state of Wyoming pays for our trips basically. It was a little hard getting a hold of this service. I can't even really remember how I had since I looked into it last year in November.

And if our taxis are shut down or are going to be running late, we call family or walk or we do not go anywhere. Gas is not much of an option for us. But if we do get a ride from a family member or friend we try to pay them back. Even though does not take up much of our monthly income, we find that bills are more important. Though we'd like to have more money for gas as it is important for vital trips. And yes, we use our taxis, which are big vans, for grocery shopping. With the money that people will be getting back in May from the government, it should help many Americans, including us with gas. So I suspect to see more vehicles on the road for a bit. Meanwhile, it's either nothing or a little bit of something for gas.
