If you love to read as much as I do, you're probably always searching for the next book to read. Sometimes you may have a long list of books to read next, but other times you may have no idea what you're going to read next. That's when book recommendations come in handy. We all receive great recommendations from friends, but where else can you find ideas on what to read next? In this article, you'll discover places to find book recommendations tailored to your preferences.

One of my favorite places to find book recommendations is Paperback Swap. If you already have a Paperback Swap account, take a moment to look at your recommendations. You can access your recommendations by clicking on the "My Account" tab and then the "My Lists" menu. Paperback Swap makes recommendations based on the books you have ordered, rated, have on your wish list, and even the books your buddies like. If you're not a member of Paperback Swap, you should really check it out. Not only will you find book recommendations, but you'll also be able to trade books for free with people across the country.

Another great place to find book recommendations is a site called "What Should I Read Next". This site is very easy to use. All you have to do is enter the title and author of a book you just read. The site will then make recommendations based on that particular book and author. If you signup for a free membership, you'll be able to build a bookshelf of books you've read. Then you can choose which ones you'd like to use to get more recommendations. For example, you may have Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone and At Home in Mitford on your bookshelf. If you check the box next to both these novels, you will get recommendations based on those two novels.

Takeaways
  • Paperback Swap offers recommendations to its members.
  • What Should I Read Next quickly offers a recommendation based on books you've already read.
  • Goodreads allows you to get recommendations from people with similar interests.
