Barboursville, West Virginia, Chili's Improved Since Last Visit

Over the weekend a couple of friends came into town for a brief visit. During this visit I had the opportunity to visit two restaurants to check out their service and food. One of these restaurants was the Barboursville, WV location of Chili's restaurant. I had been to this location a few years back when they first opened and was very disappointed in the food and the service. Considering this experience I was a little worried that the same would occur this time but was willing to give them another try. I decided that they had probably worked the kinks out in the time since my last visit so I entered into Chili's optimistic about the experience.

I was rather pleased to discover that the wait time was less than twenty minutes. This is something that never happens on a Friday night in Barboursville. Patrons at decent restaurants usually have to wait at least forty minutes or longer for a table on most nights and on the weekend it can be at least an hour or longer before you can get a table. There were a few people waiting but considering it was 8pm and the line wasn't stretched out the door we were very lucky. We were told it would be about fifteen minutes before we would be seated but in actuality it took less than ten to be seated at our table.

Chili's restaurant in Barboursville, WV is located at the edge of the Huntington Mall parking lot and is usually very busy due to the location. That night while they were busy they did not seem to be overwhelmed by customers. Instead of the waiters and waitresses acting frantically they had a laid back approach. This was a refreshing change in the normal weekend routine for most restaurants in the area.
