Barboursville, West Virginia's Super China Buffet Doesn't Disappoint

I love Chinese food. It's one of those rare things that I could easily eat every day without tiring of it. I especially love Chinese food buffets. There are so many great options to choose from. You aren't stuck with the same thing time after time and you can take the opportunity to try new things. If you don't like your choices you can simply go back to the buffet and get something that you do enjoy.

Since my husband and I recently moved we are now over an hour away from our favorite Chinese restaurant so we have been forced to find an alternative. For me this alternative has appeared as the Super China Buffet Located just behind the Huntington Mall in Barboursville, West Virginia.

Super China Buffet is one of those places I probably would not have even considered going to before the move. The building looks older and there are two giant Lions near the entrance. From the outside the building looks pretty small but when you enter you find that it's actually much larger than I originally though.

There are several tables large enough to seat 6-8 people as well as a number of booths that comfortably seat 4. The food bar is set up into 5 long sections. Each section has at least 20 different items to choose from. They have all the types of food you would expect to find in a Chinese buffet. They have excellent egg rolls and spring rolls, general tso's chicken, sesame chicken, and many shrimp dishes to choose from. One of my favorite items on the buffet is the cheese stuffed mushrooms. They are amazing as is most of the selections though I will be avoiding the coconut shrimp in the future.

The décor at Barboursville Super China buffet is a little cheesy as it looks as if it was converted from a steakhouse that was stuck in the 70's. The tables are green and mirrored columns provide patrons with an interesting view during their dinner.

The buffet runs about $10 per person though the quality of food makes it worth it. The staff is pleasant and provide drink refills before you can even finish your drink. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who enjoys Chinese buffet.
