Elkhart Lake: A Tropical Getaway in Wisconsin

Wisconsin has so many great places to go to for a nice family getaway vacation. If you are looking for fun, crowds and water parks then choice the Wisconsin Dells area, if you are looking for a fun and relaxing time on a beautiful lake then choose Elkhart Lake!

The Victorian Village Resort is a phenomenal summer family getaway. They are located at 279 South Lake Street. The resort is a mixture of fun, relaxation, and romance for people of all ages.

As you walk out back, the pool area is all gated in. They have a large pool and a nice sized whirlpool! It was nice sitting out at later at night and relaxing in the whirlpool. Then all around the pool area they have lounge chairs to relax on. The entire area is surrounded by colorful flowers and green trees.

The lake area is so beautiful. Plus they added 600 feet of sandy beach to add to the whole atmosphere of the area. Here the kids can build sand castles and run around as you relax on the beach. Or they have hammocks you can nap on. You can also sit on the chairs with umbrellas on them if you don't want to be in the sun.

Also on site, you can rent boats, paddle boats and jet skis. So if you don't have one yourself, you can still join in all of the water fun. You can also rent a tube and go out water tubing! What better way to spend the day then out on the lake in the sun.

The Back Porch Bistro is the amazing restaurant at the Resort. You can either sit inside or outside. I recommend sitting outside in the fresh breeze because the view of the lake is so pretty! Especially when it gets later at night, and the moonlight hits the water just right.

The atmosphere inside is very elegant, Victorian and bright colored. The ceiling and walls are blue and yellow. Then there are scenic paintings all over the walls. Also to decorate the rooms are items like flowered vases, small trinkets and a small grandfather clock.
