What is it that Allows Our Mind to Make the Choices it Makes?

Society today, slips over choice, it slips over free will, and it lands on... Excuses

The human animal was given these gifts in order to live life according to its own personal dictates. It invented "Excuses" to absolve itself from the bad choices made using free
 will.

When some say they were, "Called" to do this or that, it is laying the groundwork for an excuse should things go amiss. They were not "Called" to do anything, they chose to do whatever it was. It was an undertaking in the full awareness, the full knowledge, of what they were doing.

Man has a tendency to analyze himself. From birth to death, he is dissecting every aspect of himself and his life. The truth of the matter is, he hasn't a clue. The most that he can say is that he is a human animal.

Some may be offended by the use of the word animal, but man is just that, he behaves as such. To take a look at any form of media, to look at man around the world, is valid proof of this fact.

An animal kills for food; the human animal kills indiscriminately and uses an "Excuse" to absolve the action. It was for this reason, for that reason, it was necessary, on and on, he is always ready with an excuse.

Man is the experiment called "Human." Man is the physical matter brought to fruition to live life within the boundaries of the human form. Perfecting of the self is the goal, but as is plain to see, man has a problem reaching that goal. Man is very adept at providing reasons for his wayward ways.

History has shown in many ways and often enough, that in the eons of man's existence, perfection, in any shape or form, has eluded him. There has not been one instant where man has demonstrated perfection. And those who would crown another human, would call him/her saint, would do well to really delve into that past, because hidden there is something that would negate the action. Saint, who can tell? They would have to be able to see into mind, follow thought, thought can be devious. The demeanor on the outside may be far from what is going on in the mind. How can man, with all his faults, deem himself the authority for judging another to be a saint? That judgment will be made by a Higher Authority in its time.
