Nothing excites me more then opening up my mailbox and finding a freebie in there. I was actually sent the Glade Flameless Candle Clean Linen Scent in exchange for Buzzing about it. I figured the biggest Bzzz I would be able to grant them (besides word of mouth to friends) would be to pass on a review to fellow internet junkies. Packaging:
The first thing I noticed about Glade Flameless Candle Clean Linen Scent was it's packaging. I took one look at the hard plastic seal and figured it would be another one of those excruciatingly dangerous packages to open. It wasn't the case though, the upper part of the plastic seal was actually held together with two snappable plastic bubbles. A small tug and wallah, the Glade Flameless Candle Clean Linen Scent was free.
On first inspection I thought that the large cup it came with was plastic. It wasn't though, it was actually cloudy glass. Inside of this cloudy glass lied some odd contraption which I presumed was where the battery went.
Set Up:
At first I was a bit confused, the guts of this battery chamber was like a large plastic puzzle. I actually had to pick up the directions to figure out how to get the Glade Flameless Candle to work.
Turned out all I had to do was press in these plastic clasps and remove the innards of it. Inside was where the mini plastic oil refills snap in. Below that I also had to remove a plastic door to activate the batteries.
After all was done, I simply had to adjust the fragrance level at the bottom from low to high. After that a small click to the upper chamber and the Glade Flameless Candle Clean Linen Scent lit up with a lovely orange flickering effect that resembled a real candle.
Scent:
I was impressed. It looked like a real candle, sat in a glass holder that also looked like a real candle jar...but...would it smell like a real candle?
The Glade Flameless Candle Clean Linen Scent obviously came with a free refill oil in the Clean Linen scent. I was able to smell the fragrance as soon as I added it to the plastic chamber. I could hear it releasing scent every few minutes. A small puff sound was heard.
