Twin Anchors Restaurant Chicago

Twin Anchors Restaurant (located at 1655 N Sedgwick) has been a Chicago institution for over seventy five years. Just walking into the unassuming restaurant its apparent that this little hole in the wall is going to be different. The walls are covered in photos of the Twin Anchors patrons which include Frank Sinatra, Conan O'Brien, David Mamet, Chris Farley, Jason Alexander, John Belushi, Dan Akroyd as well as many many others. Of course there has to be something drawing all of these celebrities here, and its definitely the food. You can wait hours at the bar to finally get a table but let me tell you its worth the wait. The ribs are amazing and the pulled pork sandwiches are probably the closest thing to perfection on a bun. Mouthwatering, soft, juicy and flavorful. The prices aren't bad either for most sandwiches, the ribs on the other hand are an investment at $20 a plate.

Tourist tend to rave about the pizza in Chicago, if only we let out the secret of amazing BBQ they'd change their minds.
