The Patriots Dynasty is Not Dead
Don't Count Out the Patriots

With a recent lost to the Denver Broncos and a display of negative emotions being expressed by quarterback Tom Brady, critics of the New England Patriots are quick to declare the Pat's dynasty as over. Factually, these assumptions couldn't be further from the truth. Having only played three games thus far (and winning two of them), it is only fair to conclude that these reports of a "dead dynasty" are preposterous. The Patriots have 13 more regular season games and can look forward to a weekly dose of strict scrutiny courtesy of ingorant sports writers. Why? Thats simple. Over the past five years, the entire Patriots organization has defined excellence in the National Football League. Until the Patriots experience a losing season (not likely), or another team reigns supreme, writers will focus solely on negativity in Foxborro. Thats the price you pay for success in the NFL.Another reason critics are quick to count the Patriots out this season is the departure of key players such as David Givens, Deion Branch, Willie Mcginnist, and Adam Vinatiarie. Without question, these are all athletes that played a pivotol role in the Patriots Dynasty. However, like everyone else on the Patriots roster, these players are not superstars and at worst, expendable. There positions have already been filled by players who are ready to make a name for themselves in New England, similar to former favorite passing target Deion Branch. Noteworthy Recent Additions to the Patriots offense include WR Doug Gabriel, WR Reche Caldwell, rookie WR Chad Jackson, and rookie RB Lawrence Maroney (who currently leads all rookie running backs in rushing yardage).
