April is Autism Awareness month, and if you do not understand what autism is, then this article will help you to understand, and will allow you to help in spreading awareness.Autism is a wide spectrum disorder. There are many levels of autism. One person who is autistic, you may not even be able to tell, but another person may be so bad, they cannot even talk, or understand a word spoken to them.
Autism is a very sad disease, not only for the person who has it, but also for the family and friends who take care of them. This is why April is Autism Awareness month. To help bring awareness to those who do not know what autism is, and to help them understand, as well as to help those with autism, and bring hope, where hope may be totaly lost!
No one really truely knows what causes autism, we only have our ideas of what causes it, and many of us have a different idea as to exactly what that cause is. This article is not to dredge up what may or may not be the cause, this article is to bring awareness, and hope for all those who are suffering with some degree of autism.
I am going to list here a number of autism awareness sites that I have found, and I hope that they will be of help to others who live with this cruel diseases. If you know of others that can benefit from this information, please send them a link to this article.
Autism Society Of America, is of course the leading sorce for information on autism, and autism awareness.

Autism Speaks is a great site for help if you or someone you love is dealing with autism.
Autism awareness ribbons to help Mark, are ribbons we are making to help buy our 19 year old son a bike, and trailer he can sit in, (see dedication below).
