Review: David Cook's Performance on American Idol

I have liked David Cook every week on American Idol. Has a powerful voice, can sing hard rock and even though I am sixty years old, I really enjoy his performances. He comes across as a down to earth, good guy.

He sang Billie Jean tonight on the show. It was a totally different arrangement than the one Michael Jackson made famous. It really surprised me as my daughters played Billie Jean a thousand times!

David is at ease on stage and just draws you into his songs. I would pick him to win this year.

I believe that his competition in this show is Michael Johns and David Archuleta. Michael Johns is a mature, attractive singer. He is appealing and can sing rock and ballads. I enjoy watching Michael and would buy his CD if he had one. David Archuleta has a beautiful voice and appeals to the teen girls. I think it will be hard to compete with the votes he is drawing.

I really don't see any of the girls coming in at the top. This is a really great year for the guys. They are all good strong singers and each one is unique.
