You were such a tiny thing

The first day that I held you

Before I knew it you were

Almost as tall as me;

And worried about how you looked.

I was worried about how you behaved.

As you grew, my lessons became harder;

Being a Mother is a hard job.

And I had to learn how as I went along.

I always worried that I would do

The right thing, say the right thing;

To teach you the right thing.

Before I knew it you were all grown up.

My time had run out for teaching.

All I could do now is pray that I had done a good job.

I worried that I had taught you all the important things.

Like love, loyalty and family.

As I watch your spiritual growth now,

With children of your own,

It is very clear, that even with no experience

I did a pretty good job.

Love, Mom xoxox
