Incredible! Far beyond anyone's thoughts and expectations. It was so awesome, it gave me goosebumps. David Cook, again, takes steals the competition with his rock-ballad version of "Billie Jean."

I have to tell you, I was afraid for him in the beginning. I shouldn't have been, considering how well he did with his rendition of Lionel Ritchie's "Hello." As soon as I heard Ryan Seacrest announce "...Billie Jean." My thoughts were, "Are you kidding? What's he gonna do with that?" And then the introduction of a slow melody. And, as Simon later suggested, I began to think, "Oh no. This is either gonna be a huge disaster, or super freakin' awesome." Who in the world would have thought to have an arrangement like that! I mean, compared to the original..... He delivers a genius performance with somewhat strategic pauses, at the same time displaying his incredible vocals. David Cook is absolutely the most creative and talented, both as a musician and as a singer.

I realize how good David Cook is when I get disappointed that his song is about to end. And when the other contestants perform, the songs seem so long, and I can't wait for it to end. If you missed the show, check it out out here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q-Ke1zCWgI8

CORRECTION: Sorry, all. I watched the show on my DVR. I must've missed the part when Ryan said, "Chris Cornell's....." I started from, "....Billie Jean." Yes, Chris Cornell definitely put together a creative and genius arrangement of the song. I have to withdraw my commendation on David Cook's 'unique creativity.' But, again, the rendition was very well executed! He's still my top pick at this time.

David Cook stole that arrangement from Chris Cornell. He has no original thoughts of his own....his last three performances were stolen from other artists and he did not fess up. Kick him off!!

It was amazing. I just sat there with a dumbfounded expression on my face. He is the one to watch now!

It sounds like David Cook is one of those standout performers that will have a career even after Amercan Idol ends, no matter how he winds up doing on the show after all the voting is over.
