This mini dresser is a fun American Girl Doll craft perfect for keeping all those doll sized clothes organized. This is an easy craft and no woodwork is required. You will be using pre fabbed furniture and storage drawers to make this easy and fun American Girl Doll dresser craft.

To Make This American Girl Doll Dresser You Will Need:

Pre made dress (to be discussed)

Decoupage

Paint Brush

Fabric or Magazines

Scissors

To get started you will need a pre made dresser, this needs to be a small dresser and you have quit e few options.

The best product for this small dresser is to buy one of those sturdy plastic set of three drawers from the local Container Store or Bed Bath and Beyond. They come in all sizes and prices and I even find them at discount stores like Wal Mart.

Note: You need to by one made of sturdy plastic. If you buy super cheap versions that are already sagging on their own, then when you decorate them, they will warp when the decoupage dries.

Now, another option is to check out the local Goodwill or Salvation Army store and used furniture stores. Look for small night stands that have a few drawers. They will work great.

Now, on to the mini dresser for yoru American Girl Doll. Take fabric or paper and cut them into small pieces. Use your decoupage medium to apply tem to the fronts of the drawers of the dresser.

If you have some old American Girl doll magazines, then cut those up and use them. You can also photo copy them and use the copies. Do this only to the drawers.

Now, for the body of the dresser you want to paint this in a solid color. I like to use a plastic ready paint on the body of the dresser if it is one of those storage bin drawers. If it is wood you can use any late paint you wish!

Take the drawers knobs and change them out or paint them as well if your small dresser has them!

Finally, for the finishing details you want to create trim with beads. Look for affordable bags of colorful beads at the cart store. Buy finishing nails that will slide through th openings on the see soft th beads.

Use the nails and the beads to create an outline on the front of each drawer.
