I sat on the grass
and was blinded by the sun
I waited a few minutes
and then the sun was done

It sank behind the trees
and took away its light
the sky was still blue
the nightowl took to flight

The spot I was grew cold
the grass seemed damp
I missed the suns rays
as I sat on the ramp

It's like the rays turned off
just like a household lamp
and so the colors fixed
totally revamped

When the sun goes down
the sadness really starts
the tears fall from the eyes
and the souls begins to part

When then is it too cold to watch a sunset?

when all these things
begin to fade and cool the heart
then the love the used to fill
continues to depart

the heart runs dry
the body runs cold
the soul run empty
the world on hold

a friend can fill these things
when they're willing to be kind
when there intentions are cruel
it is other things that we find

a sunset is the purest form
of the love we all seek
and sunset is the end of it
when a friend's love becomes to bleek

When the sun is up
our hearts begin to warm
but when the sun disappears
our hearts feel forlorn

So then we fall asleep
await another day
for another love
to keep our heart at bay

this is how we live
from one day to another
this is how we die
when no one even bothers

our hearts are ruled , our minds are games
our wits are fantasy
are we really real
or just as how we see

Are we reflections of other people mind
or are we people in our right
you'd never know unless
you stayed awake at night

the night reveals many things
things we should not see
for if we saw what we shouldn't
we'd know who we would want to be

That insight may never come
or one day it will
what ever is the outcome
our hearts it will fill

this day will be one
of the utmost victory
when our hearts realizep
that who I am is up to me

Somewhere the bells ring
I know it is time to sleep
I hope I don't wake up
even for a little peep

I sat on the grass
and was blinded by the sun
I waited a few minutes
and then the sun was done
