You can send your mother flowers. You can all her on the phone. You can drop off some chocolates and then eat her cooking too. But chances are that your mother will want a bit more from your for mothers day, even if she never admits it. She will want to spend some time with you. Here are five things you can do with your mother for mother's day.

Cook a meal for your mother on Mother's day. Instead of letting her cook for you, turn the table for once and create your best culinary delight for her. Be sure to clean up her kitchen when you are done. She may protest a little, but insist on cooking for her, especially if you know you are a good cook. Next year she will insist on a repeat performance.

Take your mother to the spa for a pampering session for Mother's day. If you are a guy, send her to the spa with your wife and/or your sister. What woman wouldn't love a manicure and a pedicure? If you have a decent budget for a spa treatment, throw in a facial and mud treatment as well.

Take your mother to a nice restaurant for Mother's day. While she may not want you to go all out for the best restaurant in town, she will enjoy a very good medium priced restaurant. Make it a yearly tradition to take mom out for a nice brunch every mother's day, or if you have spouse obligations on mother's day, then make a standing date for the Saturday before.

Take your mother shopping on Mothers day. This is a gift that will work for just about any budget. Whether you have her pick out a new scarf, a pair of shoes, or a designer purse, she will love being able to pick out her own gift, and it will make you happy to know your gift will be used.

Take your mother to a show for mother's day. Depending on your mother's tastes, take her to a symphony, a play, or a comedy show. Choose something she will enjoy and do not complain… at all. This will show your mom that you care about her personal happiness and are glad to see that she has a good time on her special day.
