The Kitchenaid not only makes superior stand mixers but also equally good handheld mixers. The KHM9PWH 9 Speed Professional Hand Mixer is the powerful among the lot and is ergonomically designed with user friendly features. Basically there is not much of a difference between the different models 5-, 7- and 9-Speed and they differ mainly in the number of speeds and nothing much. As the name indicates the 9 Speed comes with 9 different speeds and this can be broadly classified into slow, medium and fast. In fact at 9, this works really super fast like a little devil in action. At $90, this is definitely costly when compared to other local models, but remember that this is not at over priced and it is wise to invest in this and avoid waste of time and money on frequent purchase of cheap handheld mixers that break after a year or so.

Earlier I had used the 5-Speed Handheld Mixer and this worked fine for three years and after that there was a lag in the transition of the speed. What I liked the most about the 9 Speed is that the effortless and mess free graduation of speed without any jerk or obvious symptoms. In all the models, there are 3 medium speeds and in case of 9 Speed model, it has 3 each of low, medium and high speed giving more versatility. This Kitchenaid Handheld Mixer will never disappoint you under any circumstances and this does not get intimidated by the work load.

Irrespective of the thick donut dough or thin omelet mix, anything can be easily handled by this mixer. I am an avid baker myself and I am totally satisfied by its performance. Be it for mixing dough for cake or whipping egg white or cream for latte or making meringue, this is my trusted partner. Interestingly this also mashes boiled potatoes with ease and the blades shear through the sticky dough without any hitches.
